Yellow marked variants of plicatus occur very occasionally and were a feature of the naturalised plicatus populations at Wandlebury Ring; a National Trust property near Cambridge. Several have been named and, of these, Wendys Gold is beginning to become more widespread.
It is a dainty plant with with good flowers clearly marked in yellow. The foliage has a yellowish olive tinge to it. Unlike many yellow snowdrops which are fussy and difficult to please, Wendys Gold is an accomodating plant flowering and increasing well once established. Recommended.
