Samuel Arnott was a great snowdrop enthusiast who sent this plant to E A Bowles. It became the signature variety for the Giant Snowdrop Company who increased and distributed it in large numbers.
It is large, robust, well-proportioned and an extremely good grower; usually thriving with little attention or fuss. It increases well and usually has two flowers on large bulbs.
Our stock came originally from the Cruickshank Gardens where it has been grown since the 1950's.
