Kildare was discovered, by chance, in Eire in 1995 and has recently become available.
It is a tall plant, usually producing two scapes with long, elegant, green-tipped flowers. It is quite distinctive and a very fine plant.
Like all recent novelties, it is likely to remain scarce and expensive for some time.
