On the death of John Gray, E B Anderson dug some snowdrops from his garden. One clump was to become Mighty Atom and the other clump he named John Gray.
The large flowers have distinctive apple green inner petals and a long, magnet like pedicel displaying the flowers to advantage away from the clump of admittedly small leaves.
Very early flowering and a favourite with all who grow it.
