Green tinged forms of nivalis have a reputation for being finicky and difficult to please. Greenish bucks this trend and is a relatively easy going plant. The outer petals are noticeably green tinged and the inner petals markedly so.
Greenish was found in Austria in the early 1960's and foud its nway into cultivation in the UK through Philip Ballard who received bulbs from the finder.
